DESCRIPTION
"Beware the Creatures of the Night--They Have Lawyers!"

W&B's client Sodd, The Thing Called It, is on the run after escaping the courtroom in issue #13. The FBI thinks they’ve caught Sodd, but it’s just an actor playing the swamp creature in a made-for-TV movie being filmed in New Jersey. The real Sodd has been in hiding with zaftig environmentalist gal Fern and the other Terra-ists (see issue #13), when they find out that the construction site they’ve been planning to attack is actually the compound of a militia group called Republic of the Constitution. Things get really sticky when a hostage situation arises involving both groups and the state police.

NOTE: This issue concludes, in an extra-long story (27 pages), the saga of Sodd, who had been in every issue of W&B to this point. Steve Bissette’s version of Sodd is on the cover, which is the only wraparound cover ever to grace the series. Guest drawings of Sodd by Phil Hester, Charles Vess, Shawn McManus, Jeff Smith, and Bernie Wrightson are used to show various designs being considered by the movie studio that has optioned Sodd's story. The issue also has a special pinup by Rick Veitch.
