DESCRIPTION
Thus Spake Zarathustra was the vessel into which Friedrich Nietzsche poured his entire philosophy; it overflows with the writer's greatest ambitions and fears for humankind. Unapologetic and blasphemous, Zarathustra proclaims, "God is dead" and then offers a different reason for living: evolution. In inescapably biblical terms Nietzsche exhorts man to release himself from mediocrity, convention and religion. He tells us that our goal is to become progenitor of Superman -- the evolved man who can redefine conventional religious beliefs of good and evil through the use of his will. This book has changed the Western world, partly because it was seized and perverted by the Nazis as a justification for their goal of an Aryan race.

No idea who translated this, but as it contains his sister's introduction, the evil, anti-semetic sister who was responsible for editing his work to become fuel for the Nazis, I really felt no need to reed further.
