DESCRIPTION
This famous essay by David Hume examines aesthetic values and how delicate discernment or "taste" differs among people.

Hume argues that, despite differences, standards of taste exist. To find standards one needs to consider the test of time, filtering out the timeless from the faddish. Additionally, a series of procedures for art criticism and appreciation are provided, though he notes that cultural and age differences will produce some variation in taste standards.
