DESCRIPTION
Troilus and Cressida is a tragedy based largely on Chaucer's version of the tale, Troilus and Criseyde, John Lydgate's Troy Book, and Caxton's translation of the Recuyell of the Historyes of Troye. The play is set during the Trojan War and centers around the scheming of Nestor and Ulysses to regain Achilles' support in the fight against Troy.

This edition is based on the 1914 Oxford edition, which ranks among the most authoritative of the 20th century.
