Well written, “Man of the Shadows” was intriguing though simplistic paranormal time travel story that spins Holly Raines back to the 1700’s. There she meets Alexander Wythe, a Lieutenant in the war. Attempting to return to his unit, Alexander discovers that Holly is right, he cannot return until the time fold allows him. So, together they wait and as the hours turn to days, the two develop a carnal attraction towards one another.
It’s a fast paced and humorous read. The characters are engaging, genuine, and appealing.
