But, the author here exhibits a new take on the standard but doesn't veer too far off the well-worn path to alienate lovers of the sub-genre. And, much to my surprise, the author shows a solid grasp of human conversation...totally lacking in so many works nowadays. As you read, you can hear 'real' people talking to each other...not just characters spouting the next thing that needs to be said. Also, the small romantic moments are a breath of resh air. Most of these works tend to take us from rivers of blood straight to the t&a found in the back room of the local video store. Burrow leaves room for couples to share sweet moments between the chilling and horrific world created here. Great job!
