To my surprise, this comprehensive guide introduced me to a couple of new spots that had slipped my notice, and it highlighted unfamiliar features even for old standbys. Each section is devoted to a single trail, and it walks you through each in detail, describing both landmarks and points of caution. Some of the maps could use additional context and detail, but part of this comes from reading in the digital context where I've become accustomed to Google Maps-style interactivity. All in all, a very practical guide to area trails.
