The story in ”My Trickster” moves in modern day Russia and across Europe as the main character La tries to sort out certain business arrangements and McBride trying to see what she is up to. The books describes well how the life (and the death) is nowadays for the Russian oligarchs and to those who live around them. It can be very good, but also very bad depending on how you get along and do they need you.
In a very Russian style the plot is unpredictable and interesting at the same time. However some people, who appreciate stories progressing in a clear and predictable manner, may be lost as in the story nothing is as it seems. Even on the last page you will be surprised.
